01 Aug 2020 - 31 Aug 2020
AT Cairo
Project: Empowering Small Business to Close the Implementation Gap
During the month of August, FEDA held several meetings to develop the work of the government procurement program. The meetings also included consultations on designing and piloting a questionnaire that consists of a number of questions that will be asked later to the owners of small and medium enterprises to identify the reasons that the law guaranteeing SMEs percentage of government procurement was not implemented.

OBJECTIVES

· To empower small business owners, business leaders, and opinion leaders to engage policymakers in consensus-building dialogue to close implementation gap on the SMEs quota for government procurement specified in the SME law.

· To enhance the ability of FEDA and its member associations to introduce evidence-based cost-benefit analysis in its advocacy efforts to advance SME policy reform
